About us

Sam&me_theorchard.jpg

We’re Sam & Naomi. Somewhere along the way we became slightly obsessed with cider.

Not just drinking it, but understanding it. Where it comes from, how it’s made, and why some ciders just feel…right.

The kind that isn’t rushed. Nature decides and we follow.

When Sam had the opportunity to access a very special orchard here in Somerset, we took the opportunity with both hands. It wasn’t just fruit on trees, it was history, tradition, and a way of doing things that’s been quietly passed down for generations. We didn’t want to change that, we wanted to respect it.

From there, it was built from nothing. Long days, late nights, constant learning, reading, testing, getting things wrong, figuring them out, and going again. Because making proper cider isn’t quick, it takes patience and trust.

The apples fall when they’re ready, when the sugars have developed, when the flavour is where it needs to be, that’s when we step in. Pressed within hours, then left to ferment slowly and naturally. Proper cider, made the way it should be.

This is our first year as registered cider producers, and we are immensely proud to have been awarded 2 Bronze Medals at the Bath & West British Cider Championships, for Best Newcomer and for the Open Class Dry category. A milestone we're incredibly proud of and one that reflects the quality of the fruit, the orchard, and the traditional methods behind every bottle.

Built from the ground up, shaped by instinct, patience, and a real respect for the craft behind it.

We’ve loved every second of building this and we can’t wait for you to taste it.
