''It's a chewy, wild fermented cider with a base of bittersweets and the odd bittersharp and sharp. Quite phenolic on the nose, with spicy, woody, earthy, smokey notes and a healthy dollop of hay barn - but no poopy which is nice! It's highly tannic;mega astringent and bitter, while Malolactic fermentation has given it a creamy palate and a slight butterscotch character. There's a tiny scratch of vinegar at the back of the throat, but otherwise it's a continuation of those big earthy, woody, spicy flavours. It's a pretty challenging cider for most folk, but a big old classic West Country cider for the hardcore heads, and would be great with some aged cheddar, Comté or Gruyère.''

''Still and a tangerine-orange colour, like a Somerset sunset caught in a glass.
Quite a deep nose. Smoky with burned toffee, caramelised apple, buttery sweetness and a slightly earthy, rustic character you hope to find in a proper dry cider.
Big smoky flavours of burnt sugar and butter to start, with a little residual sugar giving a light sweetness underneath. It develops into a tangy, heavy, chewy, stewed apple mouthfeel with toasted, slightly charred notes. Then the tannins kick in — big, drying and grippy, but in no way harsh. The finish is long, with those burnt sugar and toasted apple flavours lingering on.
Final thoughts? A very impressive start from Rotten Glamour who are showing a lot of promise. It’s an easy 10 out of 10 for this dry cider as it’s right up my street and i’ll definitely be keeping an eye on what they do next with great interest''
